Short version: We don't run our own servers or customer database. Our vendors handle your data on our behalf. If you subscribe, our newsletter provider stores your email. If you purchase, Gumroad processes the transaction (they see your email and payment info; we only see your email, first name if you give it, and country). Shelf HQ does not run its own customer database or servers. Your data is held by the third-party vendors we use to run the business. We access parts of it through their dashboards. The only exception is emails you send us directly; those arrive in the mailbox we use for support.
Our website is a static site hosted by a third-party hosting provider.
Our newsletter signup form posts directly to our newsletter provider. Your email does not pass through our servers.
We access this list through their dashboard when we write and send the newsletter. We do not maintain our own copy.
Our checkout is handled entirely by Gumroad. The transaction happens on gumroad.com, not on our site. Gumroad collects and stores:
Through Gumroad's seller dashboard, we see a limited view: your email, first name (if provided), country, and what you purchased. We don't maintain a live customer database. We may download data from Gumroad occasionally for accounting, tax, or support follow-up (standard record-keeping for any small business). Gumroad remains the system of record.
This is the one place your data lands on infrastructure we directly control. Emails to support@shelfhq.co arrive in our hosted mailbox.
We use reputable third-party vendors to store and process your data. Each has its own privacy policy; by using our site or services, you're also agreeing to theirs.

We do not sell your data to anyone. We don't run advertising networks, trackers, or behavioral profiling. We don't share your email with affiliate partners or other businesses.

We do use your browser's localStorage for one small thing: remembering whether you've already subscribed to our newsletter so the form shows the right state when you return. This flag contains no personal information; it's a value like "subscribed" or "confirmed." You can clear it anytime by clearing your browser's site data for shelfhq.co.
We operate from the United States. If you're accessing this site from outside the US (including the EU / UK), your data will be transferred to and processed in the United States by our vendors.
We honor GDPR, CCPA, and similar privacy frameworks to the extent they apply to us. You have the same rights listed above regardless of where you live.
